Aroma/Bouquet: The Gladstone/Martinborough region is famous in New Zealand, but rarely heard of outside of it. The 12000 Miles Pinot Gris is a great example of why, with its very approachable citrus fruit driven style that is light on the palate but yet textured from its time being stirred over lees which delivers softer finishing flavours of pears and lychee. Without a doubt one of life’s perfect afternoon wines with some cut fruit and a good book.
